Description
Small Western towns have traditions to uphold. There are always secrets to gossip about, and secrets to be kept hidden for countless years. Pie Town, New Mexico is such a small town, with many secrets and traditions. It is well known for its annual Pie Festival, and strict rules of conduct. Three of the town’s high school graduates have lives that don’t conform to the moral code expected of all inhabitants. A ten-year reunion of the high school graduating class reveals the hidden lives of the three, as well as some of the town’s most respected residents. The Reunion Rodeo, and its horse/rider accident, bring to the reader (and maybe the community) a colorful basket of secrets about hidden lives. This novel explores the edges of both morals and taboos, with a colorful list of characters and their life-choices. But, how far can a sexual code be stretched and still be acceptable? Two Cowboys, and two Town Ladies have broken all the codes. Can they survive? This is a story about gay and lesbian lives of the 50’s and 60’s. Perhaps we will all remember some tales.
