At BooksRun, we care about our customers and our planet. Sustainability is the essence of the used textbooks business. We give people a platform to sell, buy or rent books to reuse them and extend textbooks' lifecycle. This helps save trees and lower the costs of education.

When we say, "Let's go green together!" we mean we've already gone green! Today we strive to build our work around sustainability best practices.

Here are some of the initiatives we've put in place to save this planet for the future.

Sustainable packaging. We use eco-friendly packaging supplies to minimize waste and pollution when we send packages to you. Cardboard boxes, paper tape, and paper filler (in cases when a filler has to be used). Overall, we try to minimize the packaging and fillers used. We don't use adhesive or duct tape.

Eco-friendly packaging is a big deal, and at the same time, many companies still use plastic because it's much cheaper for business. We believe that it all starts with being socially and environmentally responsible. Yes, it costs more, but our planet is worth it. It's invaluable, and it's our effort to sustain the planet.

Disposal and recycling. We adhere to disposal and recycling best practices. We recycle all the packages you send to us (thousands of packages every month) and always give recommendations on how to pack your books in an eco-friendly way (check some advice in our article How to Pack Your Books ). In turn, we encourage you to recycle the packages we send you.

Donation. We donate (or recycle) damaged books instead of throwing them away. Books and knowledge should be saved and shared in a collective effort.
