Summit Math Series (Algebra 2) Book 2: Linear Functions

This math book is part of the Summit Math Series by author Alex Joujan. It can be used as a part of the set, or individually for topical focus and review.Students initially review what they have previously learned about equations in Slope-Intercept Form and Standard Form. This book then guides them through a thorough investigation into the usefulness of the Point-Slope Form for the equation of a line. Students apply what they have learned so far to make trend lines through scatter plot data and then find and analyze the equation of their trend line. After investigating horizontal and vertical lines, this book concludes with a section on linear inequalities.About the Summit Math SeriesIn the Summit Math books, math problems are called scenarios. This wording is used because in this curriculum, students do more than solve math problems. They learn by completing a series of tasks, designed to guide their mind toward specific ideas in mathematics. The scenarios in each Summit Math book are arranged to show students that new math concepts are related to previous concepts they have already learned.
