Notes on Mormonism
Book details
Summary
Description
Homer Hailey, known to many as the author of one of the standard commentaries on the Minor Prophets, who also did popular commentaries on Isaiah and Revelation, did extensive research on the claims of Mormonism. In doing so, he prepared this collection of notes to use to teach about it to his students. Each section is dealt with clearly, with quotations given from official Mormon sources (Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price), as well as published works by Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, so that there can be no claim that he misquoted or misrepresented their stances. Then, with his no-nonsense approach, Hailey compares their claims to the Bible, and shows with easy-to-understand, logical arguments that the Mormons are not what they claim to be.
