This book is one of two that were formerly Arizona State Museum Archaeological Series 210. The new books are ASM Archaeological Series 214, Volume I, Part 1 and Volume I, Part 2. Part 1 contains the Table of Contents and Chapters 1-5; Part 2 includes the Table of Contents, Chapters 6-10, References, and Appendixes. The books cover the early Basketmaker and Pueblo occupations of Chaco Canyon in northwestern New Mexico, leading up to the more familiar fluorescence of the Great Houses. ASM Arch Series 214 contains previously unavailable data, descriptions, and perspectives on the early occupations of Chaco Canyon.
