Welcome to Songs and Studies for Kids!
This songbook series celebrates the child singer with simple, fun-to-sing activities incorporating play-based vocal exploration. Featuring music written by Donna Rhodenizer, this level was developed for students ages six and up who are new to music lessons and are developing pitch accuracy.
The Introductory A Level Includes:
Solfège Studies: These short singing exercises incorporate both solfège and lyrics. With fun illustrations, simple melodies, and foundational music skills, Solfège Studies are best learned and performed without piano accompaniment. We use movable DO solfège and highly recommend that young singers use hand signs. This physical activity helps students develop pitch accuracy and independent singing skills.

Song Adventures: These engaging, easy-to-learn songs have been crafted for young singers to enjoy while developing independent singing skills and pitch accuracy. The music in this level is simplified with leadsheets to allow students to follow the score and begin their music-reading journey. In addition, Song Adventures prepare young vocalists for longer, more challenging repertoire.
