The Mirror of Good Character

The project's primary focus was on developing student moral and performance character, and implementing strategies to improve school climate to help students make a successful transition to high school. Ten pairs of middle and high schools throughout Ohio participated in the study, all randomly selected from applicants to participate in the project. Participants in intervention schools saw improvements and many changes were evident at the end of the project. We are pleased that the evaluation results confirmed our observations, and showed that the implementation schools had higher test scores, more positive attitudes, and a better school climate than the non-intervention schools.~Lucy Frontera
