This series introduces the reader to people who help the community through the jobs that they perform. In this book, the reader meets Simon, a flight attendant and finds out how he helps people during a holiday flight to the Canary Islands. On the day of the flight, Simon reports for duty, attends a pre-flight briefing and checks the passenger cabin on the aircraft. The reader is introduced to some of the passengers on Simon's flight, including a family who are going on holiday. The authors explain what the passengers have to do when they arrive at Gatwick airport. Later, Simon welcomes them on board the aircraft, shows them what to do in an emergency and serves them food and drinks. He also makes sure that the children enjoy their flight.
