seenUNseen: The Kerry and C. Betty Davis Collection and the Northeast Ohio Response

"seenUNseen", the Kerry and C. Betty Davis collection of African American art and the Northeast Ohio response, is the catalog which accompanies the exhibition held September 20 - November 16, 2019 at the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve and The Sculpture Center, in Cleveland Ohio. This exhibition marks the first time a number of works from the Davis's collection will be seen outside of Atlanta Georgia. It pairs 32 NEO artists, with 32 works of art from their collection and includes an essay by Douglas Max Utter, and curatorial statements by Ann Albano and Mindy Tousley. The artists in the exhibition explore themes of ancestry, family relationships, cultural archetypes, injustice and racism.
