There are many things I could say about myself, but self-promotion strikes me as outside the character of Jesus. Jesus glorifies his father. The father glorifies his son. The Holy Ghost also glorifies Jesus. My role is to point back to Jesus and let him work in me. One way he has begun to work in me is through Moore Square in Raleigh, NC.
Each Sunday after church I drive down to Moore Square and hand out sandwiches, chips, and water to those "in between homes." (Never homeless.) In Christ we all have a home and many of my Moore Square friends are in Christ, but not necessarily in a home, if you get what I'm saying.
I take orders for clothing needs, we read and discuss a few verses, pray for shelter, healing, restoration, broken relationships... The following week I return with new shoes, underwear, coats, etc. I also bring used clothing others have donated.
