Description

A daily workplace devotional for Christian public servants was launched in September 2012 by the Robertson School of Government at Regent University. The term "public servant" includes people working in all levels of government, the nonprofits, education, healthcare, social work, public safety and defense, as well as in faith based service agencies and church management. The word "Christian" includes everyone in the Body of Christ - regardless of denomination and faith-practice. The daily email devotional, called "The Christian Public Servant," was first sent on November 5, 2012 to 300 subscribers. Based strictly on devotionals submitted by volunteers, the email version continues to grow. It now has over 10,000 subscribers on six continents. This printed volume contains selected entries from the email version. Each devotional is workplace- or profession-oriented and written conversationally ¬¬- as if you and the author are enjoying a coffee break. Entries cover a variety of topics which public servants face.
