Description
These are the two long novellas Louis Bromfield wrote about his homeplace in Ohio, Pleasant Valley, where he built his Malabar Farm. Bromfield's descriptions of the land are very much still in evidence today and the narrator in each of these novellas is a character resembling Bromfield the novelist and steward of the land. This book contains twenty-six full color photographs of Malabar Farm. The novella Up Ferguson Way is about Zenobia Ferguson and is not the same as the chapter in Pleasant Valley.
