Making Time: Book One of the Fixed in Time Series

Making Time is a historical multi-genre story that features elements of historical fiction, romance, mystery, adventure, and time travel science fiction. The twists and turns of the story make it fun to read and difficult to predict what will happen next in this literate and intelligent tale of what could have happened or might just be for all we know. If things ever happened as told, none of us would know. Dr. Hal Campbell is a Professor of Languages at a small college in Pennsylvania. He is married to his high school sweetheart and has three wonderful kids. After he takes a part time job that is supposed to help everyone, he helps only those who already have it all to get more at the price of Hal’s family, the world’s freedom, and everything a person finds meaningful. If you had asked Hal Campbell what were the most important things in life before he was hired to travel through time to make the present better, he would have told you, his wife and kids. If you asked Hal Campbell why he risked everything to make the lives of his wife and kids better, he would tell you that it is because he loves his wife and kids. Sometimes you don’t know how good you have it, until you ask for more, and everything you hold dear is seemingly lost forever. Now all Hal has to do is figure out how to turn back the hands of time, and make the past and the present what they once were before he was hired to make time. As the clock keeps right on ticking, ticking, ticking, and the sands of Hal’s life slowly slip to the bottom of the glass, he has to find a way to make his way home after a very bad day at work.
