Golf courtesies & etiquette for the "weekend/recreational" golfer: What your golfing buddies want you to know

This guide is NOT for professional golfers or tournament play and may not be useful for single-digit handicappers (then again it just might help them as well).Rather, it is designed for friendly golf rounds between friends so that they will remain friends. It is helpful for the weekend/recreational golfers who play the muni's and semi-private clubs. It is a guide of golf courtesies & etiquette and "NOT", we repeat "NOT" a golf rules book.These are courtesies that have been developed and practiced by casual golfers for quite some time and are not necessarily based on the rules of the R&A or USGA organizations.Making yourself aware of what is expected from you on the golf course and extending these courtesies to other golfers and to the course will make for a most enjoyable round of golf on the course if not on your scorecard.Play the game - Enjoy the game!
