Mathematics - Simplified and Self-Taught: Unit 5: Coordinate Geometry

The purpose of the Mathematics–Simplified & Self-Taught Series is to provide the reader with a total review of all the math skills they learned in school. It also serves as a perfect preparation for students and adults who are getting ready to take exams, such as job application exams, Civil Service exams, the High School Equivalency Test (GED), the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), the ACT, the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), and the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). Each unit in the series is written as a self-teaching guide and contains a large number of Sample Problems which illustrate the principles and procedures shown in the text. This fifth unit, Coordinate Geometry, covers the Cartesian coordinate system, the distance formula, the midpoint formula, slope, intercepts, equations of lines, graphing and solving linear equations and inequalities, quadratic equations, shifting, reflecting, and scaling graphs, and circles.
