Description

Addy Court is a woman who never had a chance to be a girl. She''s on the broken edge of adulthood, unemployed, and at loose ends. It is early 1980, in Seattle. A chance at a job causes her to wander diffidently into a strange nightclub. It is a punk club, and she is swept up into a world she had never imagined, where all the rules that she has never understood in the first place are abandoned as irrelevant. The next thing she knows, she is an entirely different person from anyone she ever could have imagined herself being. When she meets the members of Ravage, they adopt her and use her mercilessly. They trade on her lack of self until they nearly destroy her. Then in New York, running away from them and from life, she meets a strange and tortured man named Ty who saves her, only to see her return again to band. But his gift to her has been greater than either of them had expected, and when she returns the tables are turned. The nature of the world Addy and Ravage inhabit means that the conflict can only resolve itself in one way: violently. But in the end, the resolution is one that none of them would have predicted.
