Description

ABBY'S ARK is the story of a lovely young lady, who lost her father when she was just eighteen, forcing Abby and her mother to relocate. Her mother opens a dress shop in order to keep "body and soul together." Abby is just getting used to the new town and making new friends, when she meets David and falls in love. Mother also finds unexpected romance which helps when David and Abby feel they must go to Oregon with David's friend and employer. David and Abby marry and leave for Oregon, but not before finding out that they are expecting a baby. There are many adventures on the trail, but the deep, abiding faith and wisdom of older Christians help them to grow in their own faith and the young couple discovers that, in spite of hardships, they can laugh. After their friend is injured on the trail, David and Abby are forced to leave the train and their new friends just two weeks after baby Sarah is born. Abby finds herself stranded in the snow covered soddy alone with the baby and a very sick friend. This book will make you laugh and cry, and will warm your heart as we travel with Abby and David on the Oregon trail. The question is, will they make it to Oregon?
