Lynn Hunt is Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Los Angeles, USA. She is the author of numerous books, including Measuring Time, Making History (2008) and, with Jack R. Censer, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity: Exploring the French Revolution (2001). She is also the co-editor, along with Suzanne Desan and William Nelson, of The French Revolution in Global Perspective (2013).
Jack R. Censer is Professor of History at George Mason University, USA. He is the author of The French Press in the Age of Enlightenment (2004) and The French Revolution and Intellectual History (1989). He is also the co-author, along with Lynn Hunt, of Liberty, Equality, Fraternity: Exploring the French Revolution (2001).
In this book Lynn Hunt and Jack R. Censer lucidly trace events from 1789 until the fall of Napoleon, stressing the global dimensions of the French Revolution and offering balanced coverage of both its causes and outcomes.
