Review
I loved the book! Beautifully laid out and executed and fun to go through. For example, you present a great angle on how to get folks just starting out playing lines and improvising by using quotes, riffs, etc. instead of just using scales and arpeggios. This makes a lot of sense. Congratulations! PETER SPRAGUE --Personal correspondence
I have dreamt of this book existing for years a thoughtful and clear exploration of what it means to dive into jazz guitar when you already have a background in other styles of music. Randy is masterful in breaking down so many topics that often feel so daunting and inaccessible, making them approachable, enjoyable, and furthermore, helping the student to create a foundation for mastery within the jazz domain.
