Description

This work is an extensive compilation of cases and findings on the question of whether or not to fully ordain women in the Church of God in Christ, Inc. by the doctrinal Review Committee of the General Assembly of the Church of God in Christ, Inc.After 20 years of educating female students in our seminary, the Church of God in Christ is in need of theological direction concerning the full ordination of women. Further, the Presiding Bishop and General Board have authorized the limited ordination of women for special ministries. Following this action, several bishops have participated in the ordination and appointment of women pastors. These actions are taken in light of the interpretation of Part I-Women in Ministry church manual.
