Description
Afterzine is a biannual arts and culture zine, curated by Hamish Robertson, featuring a collection of invited works upon dictated themes. What began as a single-section issue with invited interpretations of coincidence by chance evolved into an exploration of the city of Los Angeles a place I had mistakenly assumed to be lacking in happy accidents. Hamish Robertson Issue 2 includes interviews with Miranda July, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Mike Mills, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, and Wolfe von Lenkiewicz. Singer-songwriter and actress Zooey Deschanel describes her favorite morning records with illustrations by Natalia Stuyk. Poetry by Emma Straub. Fiction by The Paris Review s Sadie Stein, essays by Christina Gregory, Diane Birch, Thessaly La Force, and Christy Harrison. Plus, LA-based friends of Afterzine contribute their coincidental guides to Los Angeles.
