Bedmar and Shi: Romancing the Tropics

This volume explores the exotic meeting and mingling of cultures within a built environment. Bedmar & Shi is a Singapore-based design practice established in 1986 that incubates architectural, conservationist, landscape and interior design. Since the firm's inception it has kept the number of staff at 12, a multi-cultural mix of personalities from far-flung spots on the globe. This quorum consists of designers who share a singular desire to explore the relationships of buildings and nature with particular emphasis on quality design and execution of a diverse portfolio. The firm's project list extends from Lhasa to Delhi to Indonesia, Thailand, London and points west.
