When God Sleeps

Meet Temperance Veranda Banner, a woman whose childhood was marked by abuse, disparity, and hopelessness. She believes her only hope for survival lies within herself as she has dismissed God as sleeping both in the neighborhood in which she was raised and in her life as a whole. Nonetheless her strong will and determination to survive allow her to conquer a world where so many have succumbed. Temperance blossoms into an intelligent woman with a successful career and finds temporary solace in material gains and monetary wealth. However, the subdued brokenness of a little girl continues to plague her life and threatens to shatter the perfect world that she has created. After several life-altering experiences, she is forced to make some crucial decisions. Will she find a way to mend her soul and forgive those who have wronged her? Or will she continue down a road of self-destruction, never awakening the sleeping God within her?
