"Wit, Wisdom & MisAdventure" is a 240-page book of true stories about the author's life and adventures. Purported to be a personal triumph over Murphy's Law, you'll laughingly find that it's more of a stalemate. Recounted in a unique and often humorous tone, the author displays an intriguing point of view and thirst for adventure that makes this book interesting and even laugh-out-loud funny. Through sports such as boxing, cycling, polo, skiing, rock climbing, ice climbing, and mountaineering he’s been near death, broken almost every bone in his body (some more than once), been bitten by a rattlesnake attacked by a bear and endured a high-altitude helicopter rescue or two. What is truly amazing it that the author has overcome serious obstacles and has still been able to pursue these adventures, albeit against doctor's orders. As a young ski racer, the author injured his back and spent years in recovery. Several years later he was injured while saving a man from certain death, was hospitalized and pronounced dead from complications following a 16-hour surgery. Miraculously he came back and fought a long battle to recover, spending almost a year in the hospital. The author's adventures take us across the United States, Canada, Argentina and Bolivia. Rarely is it so much fun to take such pleasure in another's pain and misfortune.
