Fall Wild Flowers of the Eastern Forests [VHS]

Fall Wild Flowers, a 45 minute VHS Natural History video production by Laurel Hill Press, is the last in the series of three videos covering wild flowers of the eastern forests. Fall wild flowers are usually found in open fields and along roadsides and often provide spectacular masses of solid color. The list is dominated by the perennial goldenrods and asters and the annual morning glories, all of which have provided many new horticultural plants for our fall gardens. However, there are also many other less obvious species of fall wild flowers such as the delicate fall orchids and the striking Grass of Parnassus that provide beauty, variety and interest to the fall season. However, since additional general information can be quite helpful to anyone trying to identify, or cultivate, a species of wild flower for the first time, we have included in each video sleeve a printed booklet that, along with the common and scientific name of each numbered wild flower on the tape contains a brief illustrated glossary of common flower and leaf terms and a chart that includes a wealth of ecological or habitat information that can be used very effectively as "where to find/where to grow" reference to expand the value of our videos in educational and horticultural use.
