Description
REVIEWS (Previous Edition)
The accurate details the author painstakingly assembled make it such a valuable reference for all the "classic" international jet accidents. It reads beautifully, with excellent and clear expression avoiding the tiresome cliches that unfortunately so often mar a book on this fascinating subject.
Macarthur Job OAM, Aviation Writer and Air Safety Consultant
THIS SECOND EDITION
Now has eighty-five accounts, some short, some long, with hard-hitting analyses, ranging from the disappearance of Amelia Earhart to that of Malaysian Airlines MH370, not forgetting the imbroglio of Air France AF447. As before, each chapter covers a specific type of incident in chronological order. This shows the evolution of accidents over time, but means those of the greatest interest may well be nested within the chapter.
While the reader can "flip through" the print version picking out items to get a good overview, on the Kindle you can search for a keyword, such as a flight number or location, and go straight to it.
It was the lessons learned from these incidents that made flying so safe today.
