Simon Evans: How to Get About

Consisting of more than thirty works, the Aspen Art Museum's presentation of Simon Evans: How to get about was the artist's first one-person museum exhibition, and included both never-before seen works and rarely seen work from his first exhibition at San Francisco's Adobe Books. Often formatted as charts, graphs, maps, or lists, and replete with correction fluid, handwritten scraps of paper, and other found materials, Evans' works on paper meld poetic turns of phrase with pop-culture references, disarming honesty, and a distinctively do-it-yourself sensibility.
