Within this book, we anticipate helping physicians achieve and continue mastery. The potential for boredom or anxiety is a constant threat. In order to move to and continue mastery, five physician variables require attention...physician characteristics, physician competencies, physician conditions, physician context, and physician change. We call it the 5-C Path to Create Master Physicians. It is the organizing framework for this book.
