Introduction to Airborne Radar

This revision covers technological advances in modern airborne and space-based radar since the first publication of this work in 1983. It fulfils the need for those who wish to learn the fundamental concepts of radar, regardless of their technical backgrounds. Case studies of various types of radar are used throughout the text. Along with brief overviews of airborne radar's military and civil applications, the work illustrates the application of advanced radar techniques. It includes functional descriptions of radar used in the F-14, F-15 and F-16 fighter aircraft, long-range surveillance radar, battlefield surveillance and target acquisition radar, and early warning systems.
