Deep River personalizes the eternal itching we all seem to have for learning who and why we are, what put us here and what we should be doing. Endo got me wondering about my Onion and how peeling it is a lifetime job. A great supplementary poem is Francis Thomson's "The Hound of Heaven", another Onion just dressed differently.
