Do Black Women Hate Black Men?

The provocative title of this book is not intended to excite further anger in the black community but to promote self-awareness to trigger positive action. Data is based on 300 interviews and hundreds of focus groups conducted by the author, a psychologist. It reveals why so many black women are furious at black men who must accept responsibility for it. According to Reynolds, a strong relationship existed between black men and women until the 1950's; it was the major factor in preventing racism from destroying the black community. Searching for answers, it soon became apparent that too many black women have been hurt, abused and abandoned; teenagers have been left pregnant, helpless and homeless by men who refuse to accept responsibility for their actions.
