Clinical Voice Pathology: Theory and Management

Intended for a graduate text in voice pathology, this book follows the logical learning sequence, systematically developing the knowledge bases required for a thorough understanding of the subject. The evolution of treatment of voice disorders is addressed with a historical perspective that allows the student to trace how voice problems were perceived, understood, and treated through decades of advancement up to the 21st century. The text covers anatomy and physiology, etiological correlates, and pathologies of the laryngeal mechanism. To aid in learning how to work with voice disordered patients, a well-defined, goal-oriented, diagnostic voice evaluation process is included.
