This book is designed to teach students about the process of writing curriculum in physical education. It begins by looking at the national physical education standards and what they entail and continues by examining physical education from a conceptual standpoint. The second part of this book explains the various curricular models common to physical education (sport education, adventure education, outdoor education, traditional/multi activity, fitness, and movement education). These chapters explain the model, provide examples of curriculums which use these models, show how these models link with physical education standards, and provide assessments appropriate for the model.
