Generous

Do you consider yourself to be a generous person? Iassume you do. What if you're wrong and you are not?Recent studies show that as income increases, generositydecreases. We are good people, so why aren't we moregenerous people? The number one reason people aren'tgenerous is because they don't think they can affordto be. In other words, most of us would love to be more generous, butsomething within us says we can't.What if I told you that being generous is not about what God wants fromyou but what God wants for you?Proverbs says, "The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the worldof the stingy gets smaller and smaller. The one who blesses others isabundantly blessed; those who help others are helped." (11:24-25 MSG)In other words, you will be happier if you learn to be moregenerous. Who doesn't want to be happy? I know I do,and I believe you do, too.
