Description

Jesus as Israel's Prophet is one of four volumes in which leading historical-Jesus scholars engage with, and build upon, the historical-Jesus contributions made by four key contributors to the field. Each volume will identify and evaluate the key contributions made by a significant historical-Jesus scholar who has had a tremendous impact on what has been termed "the third quest for the historical Jesus." As well, the essays by their fellow historical-Jesus scholars will demonstrate the person's influence with contributions to the discipline that build upon the scholar's key contributions. Furthermore, the entire project is intended to be a dialogue, for the person will be given an opportunity to respond to the essays of his fellow scholars.
