Basics of Singing

Suitable for all voices, this comprehensive introductory text uses a variety of pedagogical approaches to introduce students to the art and pleasure of singing. The text is flexibly organized, presenting the basic principles of voice production, musicianship, song interpretation, and vocal health in a format that can be adjusted to meet the needs of the classroom and the individual. The text consists of two parts. Part One discusses such topics as breathing, basic vocal health, learning to read music, how to learn a song, and performance techniques.
