Excellent work by Axline!
Almost impossible to put aside once one begins reading. Dibs has relevance for clinicians, school personnel, parents and guardians, and those interested the Child Centered Play Therapy. It’s narrative is wholesome and gives direct insight into Dibs’ world.

Book is sequentially organized in the areas mentioned. The logic is simply enough to understand while capturing profound moments, it’s consistent with the tenets of Child Centered Play Therapy and it is as clear as ‘crystal.’

How it ended I think (that the lay person getting caught up in the storyline). If one understands counseling and termination it really ended on the right note and was contextually appropriate.
