The information in the book is derived from the fields of counselling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, and social work. The book is practical and covers a wide range of topics, including how to conduct supervision, evaluation of supervision, ethical and legal ramifications of clinical supervision, and organizational planning for the supervisor. The book also includes appendices describing a two-day workshop for the training of clinical supervisors, and the transcripts of the supervision sessions conducted by "master therapists". Most of these transcripts appear for the first time in print.
