Building Construction: Principles, Materials, & Systems Homework and Classroom Assignment Manual

This exceptional lab manual provides students with a "hands-on" way to learn about building construction. It features a series of homework exercises (4-12 per chapter) students can complete, remove from the workbook (pages are perforated), and submit as homework. Exercise formats include partial construction drawings (students will have to complete), "story problems" that include determining size and spacing of beams or trusses, determination of masonry specifications, etc., and building plans (or sections of) so student's can design or layout particular components such as a flight of stairs, joist or rafter layout, or framing options for a vaulted ceiling.
