Description

Now in its second edition, this book is your guide to road bicycling in northern Virginia and central Maryland. The book has sixty-eight of the authors' favorite rides: forty-four main rides plus twenty-four variations. Each ride has a detailed map, a turn-by-turn cue sheet, a mile-by-mile elevation profile, and a description. Distances range from twenty-three to sixty-four miles and difficulty ranges from easy to very difficult.

The book is large-format (8.5 in x 11 in) and each cue is presented on one page facing its map, instead of spread out over several small pages. The rides are organized by four areas: Frederick and Montgomery County in Maryland, and The Plains and Warrenton/Nokesville in Virginia. Included in the rides are four local multi-use trails, such as the Washington & Old Dominion trail.

The authors are donating all profits from sales of this book to the Davis Phinney Foundation to benefit Parkinson's disease research.
