Description

This is the Original Edition of the great classic work, A Course in Miracles. This soft cover edition contains the unabridged Text of the Course as it was completed by Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford in 1972, as well as the Workbook for Students and the Manual For Teachers. The Text is taken from the first edit of the original manuscript and restores to its original content material that was removed and re-ordered in later editing. The Workbook and Manual are derived from the original typescript (often called the "Urtext," a German term meaning original version ). This edition also includes a Glossary and an analysis of the Early Versions and Editing of ACIM, contributed by Robert Perry. The conversational tone of the Original Edition invites the novice student into conversation with the Author, and even advanced students of A Course in Miracles have found a new clarity and a deeper understanding through their study of the Original Edition. The restoration of the previously lost material and presentation of the text in its original sequence enlivens the conversation with the Author and gives him a presence that some feel is lacking in the later editions.
