When returning a book to BooksRun within a purchase order, refunds are processed automatically to the same payment method you used when placing your order within 2-5 business days after the delivery.
Note: Refunds refer to books returned within purchase orders only. For inquiries about buyback payments, please refer to this article.
Refund conditions
For a refund to be issued, the returned item has to meet the following conditions:
Delivered to the designated warehouse (400 Adams Ave, Philadelphia, PA, 19120);
Returned within the 30-day window from the order delivery date;
Returned in its original condition;
Supplementary materials intact and unused if originally present;
For access codes, the code cannot be revealed.
Deductibles
For refunds issued for purchase order returns, the following deductions may apply:
15% restocking fee
return shipping label cost (for discretionary returns)

How the process works
When we receive the returned book, it undergoes a thorough inspection to verify its condition. At this stage, your order status will be changed to "Returned" and you will receive a notification with the subject line "Your purchase #0000000 has been returned".
Refunds are typically issued within 2-5 business days afterwards. Keep in mind that it may take additional time (up to 10 business days) for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your payment method.
Once the refund is issued, you will receive another notification, "Your BooksRun refund", with the refund amount and your order information.

In case you have received the notification but did not receive the refund, it means the refund is being processed by your payment provider and will go through as soon as they verify the transaction and release the money from the hold period.
We recommend verifying information on refund processing speed with your payment method provider for more information, as transactions may be processed at different rates by different providers.
