Return policy

Purchases

• User is to submit a return request for the item to ship it back to the BooksRun facility for a refund with the provided return shipping label within a 30-day return window after the order delivery. Refunds are issued once the item is received by BooksRun in its original condition at the facility located at 400 Adams Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19120, USA.
• User may return the order with their own shipping label. In this case, User is to supply the Support Team with the exact return shipping tracking information indicating the package acceptance at the post office or its delivery to the BooksRun facility to receive a refund.
• Return requests can be submitted only for BooksRun items eligible for return within the return window.
• User is to select the exact reason for the return request.
• Discretionary returns (e.g., No longer needed, Ordered by mistake, Found a better price, Didn’t like purchase, Item arrived too late, etc.) are not accepted for items purchased for less than $15. These items are not eligible for return, replacement, or refund unless they arrived damaged, incorrect, or otherwise defective.
• Return shipping labels provided to User for discretionary returns are entirely at the User’s expense and are not covered by BooksRun.
• The final refund for discretionary returns is calculated with a 15% restocking fee and with the cost of the shipping label provided by BooksRun.
• Return requests are not applied to orders purchased with marketplace sellers.
• Third-party orders can be returned for a refund within the return window to the seller’s facility only. No return request is obligatory at this point.
• Return requests are applied to US domestic orders only. International orders are not subject to return request submission and can be returned within 30 days after the delivery at the customer’s expense only. Discretionary returns are entirely at the cost of User and return shipping is not covered by BooksRun. A restocking fee of up to 15% is applied upon the order return.
• eBooks are not subject to return requests and can be returned and refunded within the eBook Terms & Conditions.
• Non-discretionary return reasons are Item defective/damaged, Wrong item sent, Item arrived too late (in case the delivery is out of ETA stated in the order details, or the shipment is marked as still in progress due to some reason as out of ETA).
• The cost of the return shipping label for non-discretionary returns is up to BooksRun if sufficient evidence is provided by the customer to our Support Team. Otherwise, BooksRun reserves the right to deduct the shipping costs with the restocking fee from the final reimbursement in case of return request misuse.
• Refusal of the package is not a valid method of return, and any return shipping fees incurred by BooksRun may be deducted from the final refund.

Rentals

• All rental items must be returned with BooksRun shipping label to the designated warehouse: 400 Adams Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19120, USA. Otherwise, the order is not considered as returned.
• BooksRun does not refund any charges related to rental orders.
• Items returned with water damage, detached binding, excessive writing or highlighting, and other signs of damage that resulted in significant condition change are subject to certain property damage charges. If a rental item is damaged by User to the point of being unusable, a purchase price will be charged.
• All rental return shipping labels are at the cost of BooksRun.
• When User receives a rental item, it still belongs to BooksRun, unless the purchase price is charged.
• User agrees that their card will be charged with the extension fee if the rental is not shipped back before the deadline and not returned on time. If the item is not sent before the second deadline after 15 days extension, User acknowledges and agrees that the purchase price of the item will be charged. Otherwise, User’s account will be sent to the collection agency.
• The purchase price for the rental item is calculated and becomes fixed and final at the date of the rental order placement.
• Once User has clicked the button "Get free return label" on their rental order page and received a prepaid return shipping label, it should be used within 25 days; otherwise, it will become unavailable in 25 days and the return shipping fee should be covered by User.
