What is the BooksRun Marketplace?
The BooksRun Marketplace is a platform provided by BooksRun that allows professional booksellers to list their used and new book inventories for sale on BooksRun.

Is there a monthly or listing fee?
There is no fee to list your items for sale on BooksRun. If your item sells, BooksRun will deduct a 15% commission from the item's purchase price and from the shipping fee.

How much is the shipping compensation per item?
Seller is free to set their custom shipping fees or use BooksRun's default values: $3.99 for standard and $6.99 for expedited shipping methods.

How does a seller get paid?
We offer several payment options for marketplace sellers:- Check (by mail)
- PayPal
Payments are made twice a month, and all purchases are cleared 30 days after the initial purchase date.

Is there a mandatory returns policy?
In general, sellers can define their own return policy, but they must allow returns within at least 14 days of delivery.

What kinds of books can be listed? What about alternate editions, such as international and instructor's editions?
BooksRun is the marketplace on the Web to support all types of books — including international, instructor's, and other alternate editions. But to be able to list such items, the seller must make a special comment regarding the exact alternate edition type in the product description directly to prevent any confusion or to avoid false advertising issues. Otherwise, this is the seller’s responsibility to cover expenses in case of reimbursement or return.

How to list items on the BooksRun Marketplace?
You can list your books one at a time via the Web, many at a time via the Web, or in bulk via FTP file (see automation guide).

Is there a limit for the number of items to be listed?
You can list as many books as you like. Your listings stay active until they sell or you end them. As a marketplace seller, it is your responsibility to ensure that book traits such as international edition, instructor's edition, etc., are properly noted and maintained with all titles you list.

Why does BooksRun require marketplace sellers to enter a valid credit card?
There are two main reasons why BooksRun requires all marketplace sellers to enter a valid credit card number for their seller account. First, it will protect customers and benefit sellers by helping to minimize fraud. Secondly, a credit card will provide an efficient method to collect outstanding credit balances due to BooksRun. BooksRun greatly values all of our marketplace sellers, and we are committed to creating a safe and efficient venue for them to do business.

Do all sellers have to enter a credit card?
Yes. This requirement applies to all marketplace sellers.

Can seller adjust their shipping rates?
Yes custom shipping fees are supported. Sign in to your seller account and select My Account. Go to My Account and in the Shipping Options, your selected shipping rates are displayed. Click Edit to change the rates. Input the desired shipping rates (calculated per item) and click Save to save the changes.

Will the entered credit card be charged?
No charges are applied to the provided credit card. However, charges may be automatically collected in case of returns or chargebacks, which the seller is directly liable for from the vendor’s side.

What happens if the seller does not wish to enter a credit card number?
The seller’s account will remain inactive.

What happens if the credit card expires or changes?
Accounts with expired or invalid cards will have listings and payments temporarily placed on hold until the card information is updated.

Can I list books without ISBNs?
No. Our Marketplace only accepts books with ISBNs.

May I list items other than books, such as DVDs, CDs, or other products on the Marketplace?
The seller has the right to list any item that has ISBN; otherwise, the item is not accepted.
