To protect your shipment, BooksRun offers an optional insurance fee for buyback orders up to $300 in value. Here’s how to know if your package is insured and what to do next.

  1. Go to your Buyback Orders page.

  2. Locate the relevant order and open Order Details.

  3. Look for the Insurance tab:

If you have purchased it earlier, the insurance will be located in the "Order summary" on the right, below the "Quoted" amount and above "Total" sign.

  • If the "Insurance" tab is visible – your order is insured.

  • If the "Insurance" tab is not present – insurance was not added to your order.

Self-service tip: Always review order details before shipping your books to confirm insurance coverage.

If your order was insured and appears to be lost in transit (tracking says the package is damaged, has "Sent to Mail Recovery Center", no updates for more than 20 days), use the chat widget/icon in the Help Center to contact our Support Team:

  • Include your order number.

  • Describe the issue clearly.

If insurance was not purchased, BooksRun is not responsible for the lost package.

  • Contact your mail carrier directly.

  • File a lost package claim and request compensation through their process.
