Unfortunately, at the moment we do not have a mechanism for a customer to change their address once a purchase or rental order has been placed. However, there are actions you can take depending on your order’s shipping status.
Step 1: Check Your Order Status
Registered Users:
Log into your BooksRun account.
Find the section "My orders" and choose the "Purchase" or "Rental" tab.

The current status will be displayed in the "Order Summary" window.


Unregistered Users:
Find the notification sent from [email protected] concerning your order and press the blue "View order details" button.
After, you will be redirected to your order information.

Step 2: If Your Order Is Pending or Not Shipped
Contact customer support as soon as possible using the chat widget/icon in the Help Center.

Include:
Your order number
The correct shipping address
The email associated with your order
Tip: The sooner you send the correction after placing your order, the higher the chance it can be updated.
Step 3: If Your Order Has Already Shipped (USPS)
Once the status is “Shipped,” we can no longer modify the delivery details. However, USPS provides helpful tools:
Request a Pickup: Schedule a pickup with USPS
Shipment Redelivery: Submit a redelivery request
Forwarding Mail Services: Explore USPS mail forwarding options
Post Office Online Form: Use the Post Office’s online form to request forwarding for packages, especially for standard postal services.
Additionally, you can contact the carrier handling your shipment to inquire about package forwarding services. Carriers often have specific processes that allow for redirection of shipments under certain conditions.
Troubleshooting Address Change Issues
If you’ve requested an address update but find that your package is still being shipped to the original address, follow these steps:
Verify Confirmation: Check if your address change request was processed and updated in your order details or email confirmation.
Understand Tracking Systems: Note that tracking information reflects the original destination and may not be updated retroactively.
Attempt Forwarding: Utilize the carrier or Post Office forwarding options if the address change didn’t process successfully.
If the package is returned to us, we will issue a refund once it is received and scanned back into our system. Refunds for undeliverable packages will be processed after the returned package is verified in our system. This ensures transparency and confirms the sender does not bear financial losses for non-delivered shipments.
Step 4: If You Just Placed the Order (Within 30 Minutes)
You can cancel it yourself and create a new one with the correct address.
Before proceeding with cancelation request, please check your current order status. You will be able to cancel the order only in case you see the status "Pending", otherwise, in most cases the order can no longer be canceled.
To Cancel:
Go to your BooksRun order details.
Click the "Cancel order" button (available within 30 minutes of order placement).


Place a new order with the correct shipping information.
