A rebound book is a book that has had its original binding removed and replaced with a new one. This process is typically done for:

  • Repair purposes (e.g., damaged spine or torn cover)

  • Customization (e.g., new materials, personal covers)

  • Restoration (e.g., antique books made to look new)

When a book’s cover or binding becomes damaged, a professional bookbinder can:

  • Remove the original binding

  • Re-sew or glue the pages as needed

  • Attach a new cover — often similar to or different from the original

Note: Rebound books are not accepted in our buyback program.

According to our Terms & Conditions, we cannot accept books that:

  • Have been rebound or had their original binding replaced

  • Are not in original publisher-issued condition

  • Show unauthorized alterations to the structure of the book

Rebound books may:

  • Be harder to resell to future students

  • Misrepresent the original edition or publisher’s formatting
