Renting textbooks with BooksRun is an easy and cost-effective way to access course materials without paying full price. Here’s a step-by-step guide answering your most common questions.

Renting a book is simple — all you need is the ISBN of the book you want.

Steps to Rent a Book:

  1. Go to BooksRun.com
    Navigate to our homepage.

  2. Enter the ISBN
Use the search bar to enter the ISBN of the book you'd like to rent.

  3. Check Availability
If the book is available for rent, a “Rent” button will appear along with the rental terms (such as due date and price).

You will see several rental period options. The rental period timeframe is calculated automatically based on the standardized semester time.

Important: Your rental period starts from the date of order placement.

  4. Place Your Rental Order
Follow the checkout process. Be sure to confirm your shipping address and email.

Unregistered users should carefully double-check the email address they provide during checkout since all rental notifications — including order confirmation, shipping info, return reminders, and more — are sent to the email you specify. An incorrect or mistyped email means you may miss critical updates.

Please note:

  • Supplementary materials like access codes, DVDs, or CDs are not guaranteed with rentals.

If any such items are included, they’ll be mentioned in the special comments section during rental. You can use any supplementary materials that are included within your rental.

Note: if you see any signs stating "Cannot be returned if unwrapped", "This book is not a rental edition. You may keep this text”, please disregard them and use the rental book.
