Your account may have been temporarily disabled due to one of the two reasons provided below. BooksRun enforces strict policies to maintain the integrity of its platform, especially regarding counterfeit activity and duplicate accounts.
BooksRun understands that users might need to manage their accounts for various reasons. Whether your account was disabled upon your request or due to policy enforcement, options are available to address your concerns.
BooksRun is a participant in the Educational Publishers Enforcement Group (EPEG) and follows industry best practices for counterfeit prevention and reporting. We are listed on EPEG’s Best Practices page here: https://stopcounterfeitbooks.com/best-practices/.
Our policies and procedures are aligned with these standards and with applicable U.S. laws governing counterfeit goods.
1. Counterfeit Items Detected
If counterfeit textbooks were found in your buyback order, your account is temporarily disabled.
The suspension period typically lasts 60 days.
Your account will be automatically reinstated once the suspension time ends. You will receive a notification to your contact email address once your account is reinstated. BooksRun also ensures to keep users informed throughout the suspension period via email notifications about the account status.
Learn More:
Important: Submitting inauthentic materials is a serious violation of U.S. Code and BooksRun’s terms of service.
2. Duplicate or Linked Accounts
Your account may be disabled due to multiple accounts or linked users under the same identity.
This includes users attempting to:
Place buyback or sale orders using several email addresses
Share account details across different users
Such accounts are in violation of our platform policies and cannot be reinstated.
Policy Reminder: One BooksRun account per individual is permitted. No exceptions apply to duplicate or shared accounts.
If You Suspect Counterfeit Item Issues:
Review your past buyback submissions using your account order history.
Use our self-check tools to ensure your textbooks are authentic.
Wait for the 60-day period to pass; your account will be automatically reactivated if applicable.
What to do next:
For a first-time suspension, the account will be reactivated within 1–2 months, no further action is required from your side. It's a standard procedure we have implemented for all the items that are prone to be counterfeit.
Carefully check all the items sent, since counterfeit items are illegal for purchase and sale (distribution of counterfeit copies is prohibited by the U.S. Code).
Do not create duplicate accounts, or they will be blocked due to violation of our policy.
