Users may face challenges accessing their BooksRun accounts or order details due to various reasons, such as orders made through guest accounts, incorrect email usage. Below is a comprehensive guide to help you troubleshoot and resolve these common issues.

Common Reasons for Account Access Issues:

  1. Guest Account Orders (applicable only for purchase or rentals): If you placed an order without registering or logging in to an account, your order will not appear in a subsequently created BooksRun account. To check whether you have an account, simply go to your inbox and search email from [email protected] with the subject "BooksRun registration". If you don't see such emails - the account was not created with this particular email.

    Please note: receiving messages from [email protected] does not mean that an account has been created. It means you have specified this particular email to receive updates regarding your order. Only confirmation of registration sent to a particular email can be considered as successful account creation.

    However, you can still retrieve details of your purchase through the information provided in your purchase confirmation email by [email protected] or other communications. Simply press the blue button, "View order details".

  2. Email Address Mismatch (relevant for buyback orders and purchases/rentals): Issues may occur if the email associated with your BooksRun account does not match the one used during a checkout. Verify all possible email accounts to ensure you are using the correct one.

  3. Emails being filtered

    To prevent future emails from being filtered, add [email protected] to your:

    • Email contacts

    • Approved senders list

    • Whitelist (if applicable)

    This helps your email provider recognize BooksRun messages as safe and deliver them directly to your inbox.

Additional Tips for Success

  • Check Spam/Junk Folders: Sometimes, key emails with order or login information might get filtered into spam or junk folders.

  • Search Order Number Using Shipping Label: Locate the shipping label and find the sign "ORDER #…".

  • Use the Correct Email Account: Ensure you try signing in using the email associated with your BooksRun purchases or rentals.
